Mist draws inspiration from Henri David Thoreau's poem, merging blurred photographs (taken by moving the camera in front of a TV screen) with digital drawings, cinematic fragments, and art references to Hopper, Waugh, Mauve, and others. This series contemplates the interplay of clarity and obscurity, creating layered visual narratives that evoke the ephemeral nature of memory and perception. Moulin’s use of hazy imagery and interwoven elements reflects a liminal space between the tangible and the intangible, inviting viewers to navigate a landscape where boundaries dissolve and meaning emerges through sensory and emotional experience.

Low-anchored cloud,
Newfoundland air,
Fountain head and source of rivers,
Dew-cloth, dream drapery,
And napkin spread by fays;
Drifting meadow of the air,
Where bloom the dasied banks and violets,
And in whose fenny labyrinth
The bittern booms and heron wades;
Spirit of the lake and seas and rivers,
Bear only purfumes and the scent
Of healing herbs to just men’s fields!
Henry David Thoreau
